Sonja Hensch is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt office.

Sonja advises corporations and financial investors on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, general corporate law, and on projects in the international infrastructure and energy sector.

Sonja studied at the Universities of Gießen, Germany, and Lille, France. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins as an associate, she worked as a research assistant in the dispute department of an international law firm. During her legal clerkship, she gained experience in the corporate department of an international law firm and in the legal department of a major German automobile manufacturer.

Sonja’s experience includes advising:

  • Funds managed by Apollo on the acquisition and financing of the European colocation business of STACK Infrastructure
  • Mainova on the sale of a majority stake in its data center business to Blackrock
  • Triton on the:
    • Sale together with ADIA and the reinvestment (together with Stonepeak) in IFCO
    • Sale of FläktGroup to Samsung Electronics
