Jan Gocha is an associate in the Corporate Department of our Düsseldorf office.

Jan advises companies on national and cross-border M&A transactions, reorganizations, and general corporate law, in particular on corporate governance related matters.

He counsels clients from a wide range of industries, including:

  • Energy and infrastructure
  • Healthcare and life sciences services and providers

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins as an associate, Jan gained practical experience at other international law firms as a legal professional. As part of his legal clerkship, he completed stations at the German Federal Ministry of Justice and our Chicago office.

Jan’s experience includes advising:

    • The sale of the majority of Vamed’s rehabilitation business to PAI Partners
    • The sale of further parts of the Vamed business in Austria to an Austrian consortium consisting of the construction companies Porr and Strabag
  • Carlyle on their majority investment in GBTEC Software AG
  • Cheplapharm on its conversion into a European stock corporation (SE)
  • Keppel Infrastructure Trust on its 45% acquisition of solar portfolio from Enpal
  • KKR on its strategic partnership with Encavis AG
  • Marcolin on its acquisition of ic! Berlin
  • Rockaway Capital on the sale of Bringmeister
  • SPIE on:
    • The acquisition of Otto LSE
    • The acquisition of a majority stake in ICG Group
  • Wintershall Dea on the sale of its stake in WIGA
