Lourdes Colom is an associate in the Finance Department of the Madrid office of Latham & Watkins.

Lourdes advises lenders and borrowers, including private equity investment firms and their portfolio companies from several industries, in cross-border syndicated and private credit leveraged financings with Spanish components. 

Lourdes also assists corporations and financial institutions in refinancing and restructuring processes, and collaborates with the high-yield team to efficiently carry out bond financing transactions.

Acquisition and Leveraged Finance

  • Investindustrial on the Spanish law financings for:
    • The acquisition of Delta Tecnic, one of the leading producers of industrial color concentrates
    • The acquisition of a 51% stake in Virospack, a global manufacturer of premium cosmetics droppers
  • Boluda Group on the amend-and-extend and upsize of its €1.1 billion term loan B and revolving facilities
  • Solum Partners in the financing for the acquisition of a stake in Agrupa Lettuce, a Spain-based fruit and vegetables producer
  • IGC on the term loans and capex facility for Charterhouse's acquisition of Kids & US, a language-teaching company that offers English courses for babies, children, and teens
  • BNPP as sole bookrunner of the refinancing of Europa University Education Group and subsequent add-on financings

Restructuring

  • The ad hoc group of bondholders on Spanish shipping company Naviera Armas’ restructuring
