Latham Advises Boluda Towage on €2.15 Billion Refinancing

June 30, 2026
Cross-border team represents a global leader in maritime services in the high-profile transaction.

Latham & Watkins has advised Boluda Towage (Boluda), a leading maritime services operator with operations in more than 230 ports across Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America and a fleet of more than 850 vessels, in the syndicated raising of a €2.15 billion (equivalent) senior secured term loan B and a €300 million (equivalent) multi-currency revolving credit facility. The proceeds are to be applied towards the refinancing of certain existing indebtedness as well as for general corporate and working capital purposes.

This transaction follows the advice provided by the same Latham team on the financing of Boluda’s previous €1.1 billion term loan B and revolving facilities in 2024, as well as a €735 million acquisition loan facility in 2025. Following this latest transaction, Boluda will have consolidated and refinanced these separate financings under a combined perimeter, consistent with its record of acquisitions and integration, while enhancing its financial flexibility for growth opportunities.
