Konstantinos Beikos-Paschalis is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Konstantinos advises clients on all aspects of EU competition law and represents them before the European Commission with a particular focus on anticompetitive agreements, abuse of dominance, merger control, State aid, as well as related appellate court proceedings. He also advises clients on Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR) compliance.

His experience covers several industry sectors including technology, e-commerce, automotive, chemicals, consumer goods, food and beverage, transport, healthcare and life sciences, pharmaceutical, and energy.

Prior to joining Latham, Konstantinos worked as an antitrust associate at another law firm focusing on EU and Greek competition law in Athens. He also gained experience during his traineeship at the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission (Antitrust case support and policy Unit), where he focused on antitrust issues in several sectors. Konstantinos has also worked as a legal expert at the Hellenic Competition Commission and as a legal consultant at a major beverage supplier.

  • MOTOR OIL and GEK TERNA in obtaining merger clearance in connection with the creation of a joint venture for a €375 million energy investment at Komotini related to the creation of a CCGT power plant*

Antitrust and Litigation

  • A sporting goods manufacturer in an investigation by the Hellenic Competition Commission regarding an alleged anticompetitive conduct*
  • A motor vehicle importer in an action for annulment before the Supreme Administrative Court of Greece regarding a fine imposed for an anticompetitive conduct*
  • A pharmaceutical company in relation to technology transfer agreements*

State Aid and FSR

  • Three Lithuanian energy-intensive users in their State aid complaint to the European Commission against Lithuanian electricity regulations
  • A confidential client on its appeal of a European Commission decision in the State aid investigation regarding Belgian corporate tax sweeteners and in its intervention in related pilot cases at the European Court of Justice
  • An energy company on its defense in relation to European Commission investigation into compensation for environmental damages
  • A Chinese security equipment supplier in relation to an ex officio investigation of the European Commission regarding alleged distortive foreign subsidies
