David Marder counsels on all aspects of German and EU competition law as well as on foreign direct investment control (FDI). He represents international companies before competition authorities, in particular the European Commission (EC) and the German Federal Cartel Office (FCO).
He has advised clients in a number of complex and high-profile merger control proceedings and has experience across various industries, including media, technology, the fitness sector, automotive, air transport, semiconductors, banking, retail, and airport logistics.
Prior to joining Latham, David worked as an associate and law clerk at the Düsseldorf and New York offices of another international law firm.
He is a member of Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht.
