Innovative put option arrangements facilitate US$1 billion Polestar equity funding.
Latham & Watkins has advised Geely Sweden Holdings AB (Geely Sweden) on structured put option arrangements with certain equity investors in Polestar Automotive Holding UK PLC (Polestar). Geely Sweden is a significant shareholder of Polestar. The put option arrangements facilitated a series of successful equity funding up to a total of US$1 billion by those investors in Polestar and provided the investors with an exit path within three years, with certain returns.
