Latham Excels in Texas Legal Awards

The firm was shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year, with six additional finalists and one winner named ahead of the awards ceremony.

Latham & Watkins has been named a finalist across key categories of the 2025 Texas Legal Awards, presented by Texas Lawyer to honor the accomplishments of law firm and individual attorneys based in the Lone Star State.

Partner Ryan Lynch, Local Corporate Department Chair in Houston, is among the winners announced for the On the Rise (under age 40) category. His award will be presented at an awards ceremony in September, when the winners of numerous other categories will also be revealed.

Latham has been named a finalist for Law Firm of the Year based on the firm’s cumulative results in the awards categories, demonstrating the breadth and depth of the firm’s practice in the Austin and Houston offices.

Additionally, Latham was shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Influential Woman of the Year: Lauren Anderson and Mollie Duckworth. Lauren, a Houston corporate partner and Vice Chair of the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure Group, and Mollie, Local Corporate Department Chair in Austin, were both shortlisted for the award, which honors trailblazers, advocates, and leaders who have shown exceptional skill in their fields and dedication to advancing equality.
  • Attorney of the Year: Ryan Maierson. The Houston corporate partner was named a finalist for the marquee award, which recognizes market leaders who have had the biggest impact on the law or the Texas legal community.
  • Dealmakers of the Year: Ryan Maierson and Kevin Richardson. The two Houston corporate partners were both named in the category, which highlights attorneys leading major transactions in Texas.
  • Energy Attorney of the Year: Justin Stolte. The Global Chair of the Energy & Infrastructure Group is a finalist for the award, which recognizes excellence in energy law.
