Latham Advises on Financing for Proofpoint’s Definitive Agreement to Acquire European AI-Security Provider

Cross-border team represents the financing sources supporting the cybersecurity and compliance company’s acquisition of a leading pan-European provider of AI-powered Microsoft 365 security, data protection, compliance, and security awareness services.

Proofpoint, Inc., a leading cybersecurity and compliance company, has announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Hornetsecurity Group, a leading pan-European provider of AI-powered Microsoft 365 (M365) security, data protection, compliance, and security awareness services. The acquisition is expected to close in the second half of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
