12 Litigators Selected Among Top International Arbitration Practitioners

Comprehensive ranking from Who’s Who Legal is built out of tens of thousands of recommendations from clients and peers around the world.

The latest edition of Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration, a report which draws on extensive market research to identify “the world's best arbitration lawyers,” includes 12 litigators from Latham’s well regarded International Arbitration Practice. The annual list is developed by Who’s Who Legal through in-depth analysis as well as nominations from peers and clients, and the 2023 guide features nearly 3,000 practitioners across more than 100 jurisdictions around the world. According to Who’s Who Legal, individuals included “come highly recommended for their expertise in resolving complex international disputes.”

Hamburg partner Sebastian Seelmann-Eggebert; London partners Charles ClaypoolePhilip Clifford KC, and Sophie Lamb KC; New York partner John V.H. Pierce, and Paris partner Fernando Mantilla-Serrano appear in the 2023 guide.

Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration also includes a Future Leaders section, now in its fifth year, which showcases partners and non-partners aged 45 or under who are building a superb reputation for their abilities in domestic and international arbitration. London partners Oliver Browne and Robert Price are included in the Future Leaders – Partners category, while New York counsel Santiago Bejarano; London associates Isuru Devendra and Samuel Pape (recently elected to Latham’s partnership); and Paris associate Esperanza Barrón Baratech were selected to the Future Leaders – Non-Partners category.

Additionally, Ms. Lamb KC, Mr. Pierce, and Mr. Mantilla-Serrano appear in a companion guide, Who’s Who Legal: Thought Leaders – Arbitration, which annually “brings together the insight, expertise and wisdom of some of the world’s foremost arbitrators, counsel and expert witnesses in a single report.”
