Kate Wang counsels public companies on securities, governance, and compliance matters.

Kate advises US and foreign public clients in a wide range of industries, from S&P 500 companies to newly public companies on public company representation matters. Specifically, she advises on:

  • Disclosure and compliance matters relating to SEC rules and stock exchange listing standards
  • Governance policies and other issues
  • Board and senior management matters

Kate also draws on experience with capital markets (public offerings, high yield and secured debt offerings, and other securities offerings), public mergers and acquisitions (deSPAC acquisitions), and other strategic transactions to help serve public clients' business needs and objectives.

Kate is a member of the Women Enriching Business Committee, the former local leader of the Asian & Middle Eastern Lawyers Group, and the former local leader of the Multicultural Promotion & Attainment Coalition.

While attending law school, Kate was a member of the Texas Law Review, the Chancellor Honor Society, the Order of Coif, and the Texas Business Law Society. Prior to joining Latham, Kate worked at a top Chinese law firm where she advised clients on mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions.
