    Profile

    Dr. Thimo Brand is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ Munich office.

    Thimo advises financial investors and companies on domestic and cross-border private equity and M&A transactions as well as general corporate law matters.

    He studied law at the University of Passau, where he also obtained his doctorate. Prior to joining Latham as an associate, he worked at another international law firm in Munich. 

    Experience

    Thimo’s experience includes advising:

    • Cinven on the sale of Viridium Group to a consortium comprising Allianz, BlackRock, T&D Holdings, HannoverRE, and Generali*
    • Gerresheimer on the sale of Centor and its global Primary Packaging Plastics business
    • GIC and Khosla Ventures on Trade Republic’s secondary transaction*
    • Vienna Insurance Group on the public purchase offer for NÜRNBERGER insurance group*
