Stephanie Aitken is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

Stephanie advises strategic investors and private equity funds on a broad range of corporate matters, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and general corporate matters.

Prior to joining Latham, Stephanie practiced at a leading Australian law firm. Stephanie has also served as a director on the board of Flying Fox, a charity providing life-changing opportunities for people with a disability.

Stephanie’s experience includes advising:

  • An affordable housing developer on a strategic merger with an affordable housing investment manager and combined circa A$15 billion investment commitment from two leading Australian superannuation funds*
  • A commercial real estate investor and fund manager on its sale to a global asset manager*
  • A private equity firm on its divestment of an Australian portfolio company*
  • A leading telehealth and online prescriptions business on its sale to an ASX-listed conglomerate for circa A$135 million*
  • A global commodities organization on its successful takeover of an ASX-listed agricultural business*
  • A pharmaceutical manufacturer on its sale to an Indonesia-listed pharmaceutical conglomerate for circa A$250 million*
  • Various founder and management shareholder groups in relation to sale transactions, both to and alongside private equity investors*
  • Various listed companies on capital raisings*
  • Various institutional investors on shareholder activism matters relating to ASX-listed companies*
