Michael Nieberg is a corporate associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Real Estate Practice.

Mr. Nieberg represents both public and private companies in all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, financings, and restructurings.

Mr. Nieberg’s practice includes but is not limited to:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Leasing
  • Sale leaseback transactions
  • Single asset and portfolio financings
  • Commercial mortgage loans
  • Joint ventures
  • Project finance

Mr. Nieberg maintains an active pro bono practice, regularly participating in Latham’s Small Business Solution Clinics.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Mr. Nieberg was a summer associate in the New York office. He previously served as a judicial intern for Judge Nancy Hershey Lord in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

While attending law school, Mr. Nieberg was a notes editor for the Brooklyn Law Review. He was also a member of the Appellate Moot Court Honor Society.

Before starting law school, Mr. Nieberg was an account executive at an international logistics firm. His area of focus was in the importing and exporting of goods from Asia and Europe to the United States.
