Matthew Wynne is a corporate associate in the Chicago and New York offices and is a member of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice.

Mr. Wynne regularly advises US and global sponsors of private investment vehicles on investment fund formation, investment structuring, and related transactions, and he supports sponsors throughout the entire lifecycle of their funds and firm. He advises clients across a variety of investment areas and asset classes, including buyout funds, credit and debt funds, growth equity funds, venture funds, healthcare, technology, retail and consumer products, real estate, energy, power, and infrastructure.

Mr. Wynne’s experience includes:

  • Fund formation
  • GP-led secondary transactions
  • Co-investment arrangements
  • Portfolio company investment and exit structures
  • Formation of new sponsors and sponsor spin-outs
  • Operation and management of sponsors, including internal sponsor arrangements
  • Separately managed accounts, joint ventures, and other special purpose investment vehicles
  • US federal securities law matters, including registration and compliance under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and exemptions under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act of 1940

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wynne worked in public accounting auditing broker-dealers and other banking and capital markets clients. Mr. Wynne is licensed as a certified public accountant (inactive) in New York.
