Latham & Watkins Ranks Among Leading Firms for Secondaries Transactions

Latham & Watkins was again recognized as a leading law firm for secondaries transactions by Secondaries Investor in its 2025 Law Firm Survey. The survey provides a dive into secondaries market activity by law firms, including deal volume, count, and transaction type.

In 2024, Latham advised on 110 secondaries transactions totaling US$46.3 billion, representing significant year-over-year growth in both GP and LP-led transactions, as well as structured solutions. In 2023, Latham advised on 63 secondaries transactions totaling almost US$14 billion.

Among the most significant secondary transactions of the year globally, Latham advised Ares in its acquisition of a US$1.1 billion portfolio of private equity fund interests from Blackstone Americas, a transaction Secondaries Investor recognized as Americas LP-Led Deal of the Year, and represented TJC LP in the formation of its US$2.1 billion continuation fund.
