Mariana Ferez is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Mariana represents sponsors and financiers in various types of corporate financing transactions and project development, acquisition and financing transactions in the energy and infrastructure space.

Originally from Brazil, Mariana is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.

Prior to joining Latham, Mariana was an associate at a top-tier law firm in São Paulo for seven years, where she advised corporate clients on a variety of cross-border financings and issuances of debt and equity securities.

Mariana was an associate in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Practice at another leading global law firm, where she advised clients on secured debt financing and cross-border financial transactions involving commercial and development banks in the energy and infrastructure space.

Mariana’s experience includes advising:

  • Manaus Ambiental in a financing to fund the operation of a public concession to provide water distribution and treatment services in the municipality of Manaus, State of Amazonas, Brazil*
  • Atlas Renewable Energy on the development and financing of its first power project in Colombia*
  • Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras - Eletrobras, in its international public offering of shares in the total amount of US$6.9 billion*
