A recognized leader, both within the firm and the industry, Ms. Edgar serves on Latham’s Asia Knowledge Management and Diversity Leadership Committees and the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association’s Leveraged & Acquisition Finance Committee – APAC. She also previously served on the firm's Mentoring Committee and as Chair of the Asia Pacific Loan Market Association’s Young Leaders Committee.

She regularly advocates for women in law, including as a member of the firm’s Asia Women Enriching Business (WEB) Committee and as a former Co-Chair of IWIRC’s Hong Kong Board, and the Women in Finance Asia Steering Committee.

Ms. Edgar speaks at industry events on market trends, including on a cross-practice panel for the Hong Kong Venture Capital Association.

Before joining Latham, Ms. Edgar worked in the London and Hong Kong offices of another leading international law firm. She has also completed a secondment to Goldman Sachs’ principal investments legal team in Hong Kong, primarily supporting the special situations group and merchant banking division across Asia.

  • Global Infrastructure Partners and KKR on the financing in connection with a strategic co-control partnership with Vodafone to invest in Vantage Towers, a leading telecoms tower company in Europe 
  • Goldman Sachs Asset Management, one of the world’s leading investment managers, on the financing for its structured investment (through its infrastructure investing business) in Goodpack, a leading provider of reusable metal container solutions and a key supply chain partner to large blue-chip companies across the globe
  • Swiss Life Asset Management AG, on behalf of a Swiss Life Infrastructure Fund, on the US$165 million financing for Porto Parent GmbH in relation to the acquisition of Infrareal GmbH, an owner and operator of Behringwerke and Jena life science parks 
  • iSquared Capital on the amendment and extension of its HK$7.1 billion financing originally provided in connection with the acquisition of Hutchison Global Company Investment Holding Limited, one of Hong Kong’s leading internet service providers 
  • Adani Transmission Limited, India’s largest private sector power transmission and retail distribution company, on its US$700 million platform infrastructure senior financing facility, the first-of-its-kind sanctioned by international banks in the transmission sector. The funds will be used to finance four green projects developed by ATL in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The deal was awarded India Deal of the Year at the 2021 PFI Awards
  • A leading infrastructure fund on the financing for the proposed acquisition of passive infrastructure
  • 3i Infrastructure on the financing for its bid for the proposed acquisition of a manufacturer of pre-fabricated schools
  • Goldman Sachs on the INR2.65 billion term loan and convertible debentures for Platinum Holdings Private Limited, a shopping mall in India

  • TPG, as a co-investor with Northstar, on the financing for the acquisition of 80% of Greenfields Dairy, a Singapore-based company producing dairy products  
  • Carlyle on a term loan and revolving credit facility for Kilometer Holdings, L.P, and Kilometer Holdings GP, Ltd., a holding company 
  • CVC on the financing for the acquisition of Sajjan India, a manufacturer of chemicals 
  • Carlyle on the financing for the acquisition of A Twosome Place, a South Korea-based coffee shop chain 
  • Carlyle on the financing for the acquisition of Indian headquartered global IT services company, Hexaware Technologies Limited. This transaction is considered one of India’s largest ever secured bond leveraged buyout financings
  • CDH Investments on its financing in connection with the acquisition of a stake in WOW Tech International, a Germany-based company that develops and markets intimate stimulation devices 
  • Carlyle on a term loan facility in connection with Carlyle's acquisition of certain shares of Piramel Pharma Limited, a global pharmaceutical company based in India

Restructuring

  • The bondholder committee in connection with the restructuring of Noble Group Limited, a commodities trader across a range of industrial and energy products; this transaction was awarded Restructuring Deal of the Year at the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2019, Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency and Restructuring at The Asia Legal Awards 2019, Asia-Pacific Bond Deal of the Year award at the Project Finance International Global Awards 2019, and Refinancing Deal of the Year at the IJGlobal Asia Pacific Awards 2018
  • Rolta India Ltd, a provider of IT solutions, in connection with the default of senior notes issued and potential restructuring of its group indebtedness  
  • China Shanshui Cement Group Limited, as debtor, in connection with the restructuring and repayment of its US$500 million offshore senior unsecured bonds
