Kate Zhu is an associate in Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt office and a member of the Finance Department.

Ms. Zhu advises German and international financial institutions, sponsors, investors, and corporate borrowers on domestic and cross-border financings, including:

  • Acquisition financings
  • Refinancings
  • General corporate financings
  • Financial restructurings

Ms. Zhu is a member of the Frankfurt Bar Association.

Ms. Zhu’s experience includes advising:

  • Bank consortium:
    • On the provision of credit lines of €1.8 billion and €1.2 billion for TUI by KfW
    • On the extension of existing revolving credit facilities totaling €4.7 billion for TUI
  • Bank consortium on the refinancing of the Borgers Group within its restructuring
  • Bank consortium on the refinancing of Perstorp Chemicals
  • Befesa:
    • On extending the term of its credit lines until 2026
    • On its refinancing
  • Cheplapharm:
    • On the increase and adjustment of credit lines
    • On its refinancing        
  • Goldman Sachs on the refinancing of AVS            
  • Oiltanking on comprehensive refinancing of €1.5 billion
