Kamilla Zembala-Börner is an associate in the Düsseldorf office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice.
Kamilla advises clients on all areas of European and German competition law as well as on foreign direct investment control (FDI).
She represents international companies and private equity funds before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office (FCO) in a wide range of competition law matters, in particular with regards to merger control and abuse of dominance, as well as before the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy in FDI matters. She also represents clients in antitrust litigation before German and EU courts.
Kamilla advises clients on a variety of matters and transactions across various industry sectors, including telecommunications, digital markets, and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Latham, Kamilla worked as an associate for a leading German law firm in Brussels and Düsseldorf as well as a competition litigation boutique in Düsseldorf. Before and during her clerkship, Kamilla worked as an academic research assistant at Heidelberg University and at Goethe University Frankfurt and completed part of her clerkship at the European Commission.
