Judith Sikora is an associate in the Frankfurt office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department.

Judith represents national and international clients, with a focus on EU and German data protection law. She leverages her deep understanding of AI law and other aspects of European digital law.

Judith advises companies on data protection matters. This includes administrative and fine proceedings related to data protection and the defense against damage claims, such as those following data breaches, including advising on mass litigation projects. She provides counsel to clients in the context of administrative and court proceedings, as well as private equity and company transactions.

Furthermore, she focuses on a variety of complex matters, including:

  • Counseling and strategic advice on digital products, international data transfers, and telecommunications data protection and e-privacy laws
  • Cyber incident response
  • Data protection aspects of corporate transactions
  • Privacy and EU AI Act compliance in AI, and automated decision-making
  • Employee data privacy, including conducting internal investigations

Judith has gained valuable practical experience providing external data protection officer services to several market-leading companies.

Additionally, she assisted international clients with their GDPR implementation projects and their market entry in the European Union. 

Judith serves on the editorial board of the Juwiss Blog. Moreover, she is a member of the IAPP, DIS40, and Deutsche Juristinnen Bund. She maintains an active pro bono practice and advises on data privacy for nonprofit organizations.

Prior to joining Latham, Judith worked in a renowned international commercial law firm in the area of IT law and data protection.

Judith’s experience includes advising: 

  • Triton on data protection matters during the sale together with ADIA and the reinvestment (together with Stonepeak) in IFCO
