Dr. Ivo Veit Wanwitz is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ Düsseldorf office.

Mr. Wanwitz advises German and international companies and financial investors on national and cross-border M&A transactions, as well as on general corporate law.

He works with clients from a wide range of industries and has particular experience in the energy and infrastructure sector.

Mr. Wanwitz studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and at the University of Virginia School of Law. He also holds a doctorate degree in law from the University of Tübingen.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Mr. Wanwitz worked as a law clerk and as a trainee lawyer in Latham’s Finance and Corporate Departments in Hamburg and Los Angeles, California. As a trainee lawyer, he also worked for the Administrative Court of Hamburg. During his law studies, Mr. Wanwitz was a scholar of the German National Academic Foundation.
