Giulio Catalani is an associate in the Milan office of Latham & Watkins and member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources (ELR) Practice.

Giulio advises private equity funds, financial institutions, and international and domestic companies on public law and regulatory matters in connection with M&A and capital markets transactions, as well as on day-to-day regulatory compliance.

His work mainly focuses on:

  • Sector-specific regulations (including infrastructure, food and beverage, telecom, aviation, energy, and life sciences)
  • Environmental law and chemicals regulation
  • Permitting, public procurement, and concessions of state-owned assets

Prior to joining Latham in 2022, Giulio worked for a chemical company specializing in precious metals recovery and refining, where he gained first-hand experience on industrial processes and environmental compliance.
