Dr. Felicitas Mayer-Theobald specializes in German and international tax law, particularly as it relates to private equity funds, fund structuring, and incentive compensation. 

Ms. Mayer-Theobald leverages her experience as a certified tax advisor (Steuerberaterin) and as a specialist tax lawyer (Fachanwältin für Steuerrecht) to advise private fund sponsors and institutional investors on a full range of tax matters, including complex post-transactional tax audits. She regularly advises clients on cash- and equity-based incentive compensation plans in both transactional and non-transactional settings.

She also helps clients navigate fund marketing and regulatory matters, in particular with a view to Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) laws and insurance regulations. Her experience advising both sponsors and investors gives Ms. Mayer-Theobald a sophisticated outlook on the fund market.
