Evan Omi is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Antitrust & Competition Practice.
Evan defends clients in high-stakes antitrust litigation, helps guide clients through mergers and acquisitions, and navigates them through government antitrust investigations. Evan has worked on all stages of antitrust litigation and merger control and leverages his multifaceted experience to proactively counsel clients facing all types of antitrust risk. He has handled litigation brought by private and government plaintiffs across claims of monopolization, coordinated conduct, and IP related counter claims.
Additionally, Evan has been a part of teams that developed successful strategies to guide HSR filings and clear deals before the US DOJ and FTC. Evan has a successful track record of navigating clients through investigations and defending them from related litigation. His experience spans numerous industries, including sports, media and entertainment, technology, manufacturers, and government contractors.
Evan earned his JD from Harvard Law School, where he graduated cum laude and served as a senior article editor for the Harvard Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law.
While attending law school, Evan was a legal intern for the San Francisco Public Defender's office. Prior to attending law school, Evan served as a trial preparation assistant at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and as a verifications specialist at the University of California, Berkeley.
