Eunice Chiu is an associate in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

Eunice represents multinational corporations, government-owned entities, high-net-worth individuals, and shareholders in complex litigation and arbitration matters. 

Her practice covers cross-border disputes involving M&A and private equity, joint venture, shareholder litigation, and fraud. She also advises clients on regulatory investigations.

Eunice’s experience includes advising: 

  • A state-owned oil company in Hong Kong High Court proceedings involving a series of shareholders disputes
  • A state-owned listed asset management company on responding to Hong Kong SFC’s investigations into a number of transactions involving several listed companies in Hong Kong
  • An airline company in defending a claim by a Hong Kong-based construction company for retention money allegedly held under a construction contract, as well as related interlocutory injunction proceedings
  • A US private equity firm in HKIAC arbitral proceedings related to a dispute over capital increase requirements under a shareholders’ agreement
  • A Chinese investment firm in HKIAC arbitral proceedings related to a dispute over the exercise of a put option in a sale and purchase agreement
