Astrid Preuss is an associate in the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins’ Hamburg office.

Astrid advises on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate law.

Astrid studied law at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and at the University of Cergy-Pontoise in France, from which she also received a French Bachelor of Laws and a Master’s degree.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Astrid worked as a law clerk in antitrust and pro bono at another international law firm in Hamburg, Paris, and New York, as well as at the German Bundestag and the German Embassy in Singapore.

Astrid's experience includes advising:

  • Apollo on €3.2 billion Investment in Joint Venture with RWE
  • Brookfield on a joint venture for the acquisition of a portfolio of light industrial assets in Sweden from EQT
  • Demant on its agreement to acquire KIND Group
  • Shareholders of Ecker + Ecker and Accessus Health on the sale of both companies to Athagoras
  • Shareholders of Krose on the sale of the company to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co
  • Triton on the acquisition of Flender
  • ZAVA Global on the sale to listed US-based Hims & Hers Health, Inc.
