Ana Serrano is an associate in the Tax Department of the Madrid office of Latham & Watkins. Ms. Serrano primarily handles transactional tax matters. She has experience advising on Spanish and international tax aspects of restructuring transactions. Ms. Serrano also advises financial entities and other clients from different industries on daily tax matters.

  • CVC in its €2 billion strategic investment in LaLiga to set in motion LaLiga Impulso, a project to boost the global growth of LaLiga and its clubs
  • The Carlyle Group in the acquisition of Altadia, a leading Spanish ceramic products manufacturer, from Lone Star
  • Platinum Equity in the acquisition of Urbaser, one of the world’s largest providers of environmental services, from China Tianying Inc. for €3.5 billion
  • Wallbox in its US$1.5 billion deSPAC merger with Kensington Capital Acquisition Corp. II
  • Opdenergy, an independent renewable energy producer focused on solar photovoltaic and wind energy technologies, on its debut on the First Market of the Spanish Stock Exchange
  • Telefónica in the sale of Telefónica Costa Rica, one of Costa Rica’s largest mobile service providers, to Liberty Latin America 
  • Cementos Balboa, a portfolio company of KKR engaged in cement production, in its acquisition by Votorantim Cimentos
  • Ecoener, a wind, hydro, and photovoltaic energy operator, on its IPO for a capitalization of c. €350 million
  • The Ad Hoc Group of bondholders in the context of the restructuring of Spanish shipping company Naviera Armas
  • Latécoère in the acquisition of the entire share capital of Malaga Aerospace, Defense & Electronics Systems (MADES)
