Alex Kandalaft is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Kandalaft represents clients in connection with a broad range of antitrust issues, including the US merger control and review process.

She advises clients across a number of industries, including technology, pharmaceuticals, retail and industrial products and services, and healthcare.

Ms. Kandalaft maintains an active pro bono practice, drafting an amicus brief in a case involving LGBTQ+ rights and representing individuals seeking asylum in the US. She has also successfully represented individual student loan borrowers in a lawsuit against the US Department of Education.*

Prior to and during law school, Ms. Kandalaft worked in government affairs for the American Bar Association, advocating on issues of importance to the legal profession.  While earning her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, she served as annual review editor of the Journal of Gender and the Law.  She also externed for a judge at the US Court of Federal Claims.
