Latham & Watkins Advises SPIE on Acquisition of SGS Industrial Services
Latham & Watkins LLP has advised SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, on the signing of an agreement to acquire SGS Industrial Services Group. SGS is an industrial services provider headquartered in Dorf an der Pram in Upper Austria and mainly operating in Germany, with around 800 employees, and 2025 revenue of approximately €180 million. With the acquisition, SPIE strengthens its service offering in the electrical and mechanical installation of power facilities and industrial plants. Closing of the transaction is expected by the end of June 2026 and is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
