Latham & Watkins Advises Cognition in US$1 Billion+ Fundraise

Cognition, an applied AI lab building end-to-end software agents, announced it has raised more than US$1 billion at a US$26 billion valuation. The funding round was led by Lux Capital, General Catalyst, and 8VC, included existing investors Founders Fund, Elad Gil, Alpha Wave, Definition Capital, Positive Sum, Avenir, Vitruvian, Bain Capital Ventures, Conversion Capital, 137 Ventures, Soma Capital, and Omri Casspi, and new investors Ribbit Capital, Atreides, and Layer Global.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Cognition in the funding round with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Bay Area partner Seth Gottlieb, with associates Chris Pham, Rasha Suleiman, Lauren Dickstein, and Georgianna Chan. Latham has previously advised Cognition in its earlier financing rounds, including its US$400 million Series C in September 2025, and its acquisition of Windsurf.
