Latham & Watkins Advises Cognition AI in US$400 Million Fundraise
Cognition, an applied AI lab building end-to-end software agents, has announced it has raised more than US$400 million at a US$10.2 billion post-money valuation. The funding round was led by Founders Fund, included existing investors Lux Capital and 8VC, Neo, Elad Gil, Definition Capital, and Swish VC, and new investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Hanabi Capital, and D1 Capital.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Cognition in the transaction with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Bay Area partner Seth Gottlieb, with associates Chris Pham, Kayleigh Kuyon, Samantha Wang, and Lauren Dickstein. Latham previously advised Cognition in its acquisition of Windsurf.
