Latham & Watkins Advises Zurich on Extension of Strategic Partnerships With Deutsche Bank

Latham & Watkins LLP has advised Zurich Gruppe Deutschland on the early extension of its long-standing strategic partnerships with Deutsche Bank through the end of 2042. Concurrently, the strategic partnership between Zurich Gruppe Deutschland and DWS was also extended through 2042.

The collaboration continues to encompass a broad range of life, risk, and property insurance products from Zurich, as well as fund investment solutions from DWS. Both partnerships remain firmly integrated into the advisory services provided to Deutsche Bank and Postbank. At the same time, the partners intend to further expand their collaboration through investments in digital processes, offerings, and customer service.

The Latham team was led by Munich corporate partner Wessel Heukamp, with associates Jaschar Mirkhani and Nicolas Ormanns. 

The Zurich team comprised General Counsel Michael Reuter, Head of Legal M&A/Finance Sebastian Füg, and Senior Legal Counsel Daniel Baierlein.
