Latham Advises on Ligent Technologies’ HK$5.67 Billion IPO
Latham & Watkins has advised Citi and Citic Securities as the joint sponsors on Ligent Technologies’ HK$5.67 billion (approximately US$723 million) initial public offering (IPO) on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEX). The global offering consists of 172,014,700 shares (subject to the over-allotment option) at an offer price of HK$32.96 per share.
Ligent Technologies is a global leading optical communication and connectivity product provider that develops, manufactures, and sells optical transceivers, optical chips, and optical network terminals, serving customers in China and overseas. The company is one of the few companies in the world that have R&D and production capabilities for both optical transceivers and optical chips.
The Latham team was led by Hong Kong corporate partners Daying Zhang and Terris Tang, with associates Chimmy Tao, Alex Lai, Caroline Lin, Lulu Han, Wincy Yim, Angel Shi, and Jenny Zhang, foreign legal consultants Manyu Tian, Hanyun Lu, Ruby Sheng, and Peiying Li, and paralegal Lili Tang.
