Latham Advises Arsari Capital on Financing and Joint Venture With IOH

Singapore team represents Indonesian investment group in the high-profile transaction.

Latham & Watkins has advised Arsari Group, a diversified Indonesian family-owned investment platform, on the financing and joint venture with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) to form PT Infra Fiber Teknologi (IFT), a leading independent digital fiber infrastructure platform in Indonesia.

The transaction involved an asset transfer of over 86,000km of Indosat’s existing fiber optic network, including backbone infrastructure, domestic submarine cables, and access networks, and was financed by a combination of equity, senior, and mezzanine debt. The deal represents one of the most high-profile transactions in the infrastructure space in Indonesia and marks a major milestone in strengthening Indonesia’s digital backbone and accelerating inclusive digital transformation.

The Latham team was led by Singapore finance partners Timothy Hia and Don Stokes, corporate partner Marcus Lee, and associates Cherine Teh, Benjamin Han, Beatrice Leung, and Rebecca Han.
