Latham Adds Experienced Data & Technology Transactions Partner in London

Richard Offord brings deep experience advising on the commercial, IP, and technology aspects of complex M&A and private equity transactions.

Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Richard Offord has joined the firm's London office as a partner in the Data & Technology Transactions Practice. Offord advises companies and investors on the commercial, IP, and technology aspects of M&A and private equity transactions, including carve-outs and joint ventures. He also regularly counsels clients on high-value, complex contractual arrangements, including supply, outsourcing, brand license, agency, and franchising agreements.

Offord’s practice spans several high-growth sectors, including financial services, where he specializes in technology-focused contractual and regulatory projects, and energy and infrastructure, where he regularly advises on the contracts that underpin major long-term investments by infrastructure funds and other investors. He also regularly advises on the structuring and implementation of complex sports deals.

Offord joins Latham & Watkins from Travers Smith. He received a BA in History from Durham University, followed by a GDL and LPC from BPP Law School.
