Latham Advises MTT Shipping on Its Proposed IPO

Singapore team represents leading Malaysia container liner operator on Bursa Malaysia listing.
Latham & Watkins is advising MTT Shipping Sdn. Bhd, the leading container liner operator in Malaysia, on its proposed initial public offering (IPO) of 633.5 million new shares on the Bursa Malaysia.
The Latham team was led by Singapore corporate partner Sharon Lau, with associate Kelly Teoh and Foreign Legal Consultant Jose Mendoza.
Latham has advised on a number of landmark IPOs in Malaysia this year, including:
- One of the largest offerings in Malaysia in the last 10 years: Advising Sunway Healthcare Holdings, a leading integrated private healthcare group based in Malaysia, on its proposed IPO
- Malaysia’s largest IPO in 2025 to date: Advising Eco-Shop Marketing Berhad, one of Malaysia’s largest dollar store retail chains operating more than 350 stores across the country, on its IPO raising RM974.2 million (approximately US$230 million)
