Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA), a global leader in interactive entertainment, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an investor consortium comprising PIF, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners in an all-cash transaction that values EA at an enterprise value of approximately US$55 billion.
Latham & Watkins LLP serves as primary counsel to Silver Lake and co-counsel to the investor consortium on IP and gaming matters in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by New York partners Michael Anastasio and Ian Nussbaum, New York/Orange County partner Charles Ruck, Orange County/Los Angeles partner Ghaith Mahmood, and Los Angeles partner Rick Offsay.
