Latham Partner Named IPO Lawyer of the Year by Law.com International

Head of Latham’s India Practice and Singapore partner Rajiv Gupta was named IPO Lawyer of the Year at Law.com International’s Asia Legal Awards 2025. The annual awards honor the most significant transactions, cases, and legal work that have shaped the industry across Asia.

Gupta is a pre-eminent figure for India-related IPO work and consistently works on the highest-profile capital markets transactions, which require a market-leading force with a tremendous depth of knowledge and experience. He has advised on many first-of-its-kind and landmark transactions in the India capital markets. Gupta’s most notable work over the past year include representing Hyundai Motor India Ltd. on its US$3.3 billion IPO, the largest listing in Indian history and the second largest globally in 2024; advising on the US$1.35 billion IPO by Swiggy, India’s second-largest IPO in 2024; representing Ola Electric on its US$730 million IPO, the first from a pure-play electric vehicle company in India; advising on the US$1 billion IPO by Hexaware, the largest-ever IT services IPO in India, and the first billion-dollar deal in India in 2025; representing JSW Cement on its US$410 million IPO; representing Travel Food Services on its US$233 million IPO; and representing Ventive Hospitality as the sole international counsel on its US$187.1 million IPO.
