香港考虑全面修订隐私法

《个人资料（私隐）条例》的潜在修订可能会对处理香港个人资料的机构施加更严格的监管。
重点：
- 2020年1月20日，在香港政制事务委员会讨论文件的序幕下，香港立法会就《个人资料（私隐）条例》可能作出修订一事进行讨论。文件中列出了《个人资料（私隐）条例》可能做出的五项重大修订。
- 委员会成员对向持有“起底”内容且未能即时删除有关资料的社交媒体平台问责的可能性进行讨论。
- 议会内就《个人资料（私隐）条例》进行公众咨询以收集社会对隐私及相关问题的意见的动议最终不获通过，但委员会成员大多赞成全面修订《个人资料（私隐）条例》，意味个人资料私隐专员公署很可能进一步完善有关文件，为《个人资料（私隐）条例》的正式修订草案奠定基础。
- 委员会成员还讨论了落实《个人资料（私隐）条例》第33条的可能性。该条例禁止在未满足某些条件的情况下将个人资料输出香港境外，但预计不会发生任何即时变化。
