Partner Whitney Weber was recognized for earning a complete defense verdict for NextGen Healthcare in a rare "holders' claim" case and a dismissal of a federal securities class action for Peloton.
Whitney Weber represents public companies, directors, and officers in securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, SEC enforcement maters, and other high-stakes matters in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Whitney also defended numerous other complex litigation matters, including multimillion dollar contractual disputes, and mergers and acquisitions litigation. She also has been involved in government investigations of potential civil and criminal conduct, including representing clients under investigation by the United States Securities Exchange Commission and/or the Department of Justice.
Whitney has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including large-scale fact and expert discovery, dispositive and non-dispositive motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, trial, and appeal. Whitney has achieved highly favorable results at the trial court—including two full defense verdicts—and appellate levels, as well as in settlement.
Whitney is active in the firm’s pro bono program and has worked for numerous clients in cases related to immigration, refugee rights, and prisoner rights.
Whitney also has served in a number of management roles at the firm, including on the firm’s Training & Career Enhancement Committee and currently serves on the Recruiting Committee.
