Dennis Lamont is a partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Finance Department and the Private Equity Finance Practice. Mr. Lamont‘s practice focuses on private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and middle-market and large-cap borrowers and issuers. His practice spans the entire capital structure, with particular focus on acquisition finance for private equity clients.

Mr. Lamont has extensive experience in both commercial lending transactions and securities offerings. His debt transactions include:

  • Leonard Green & Partners, in connection with their investments in Advantage Solutions, Charter NEX, Life Time Fitness, Pro Mach, Shake Shack, and other companies
  • Odyssey Investment Partners, in connection with their investments in CPI International Holding, Safway, Testek, Aero Precision, and other companies

Many of Mr. Lamont’s deals have an international dimension, generally involving North and South America and Europe. Mr. Lamont is fluent in English and Portuguese, has lived in Brazil, the Netherlands, Russia, and the United States, and has spent significant time working for clients in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Lamont also has in-house experience that gives him a first-hand appreciation for the practical issues facing management teams at multi-national public companies.
