Latham & Watkins Advises Voltus in its US$31 Million Series C Financing

An emerging companies team advised the distributed energy resources platform in its financing.
Voltus, Inc. has announced the closing of a US$31 million Series C financing. The round was led by Activate Capital and included existing investors NGP Energy Technology Partners III, Prelude Ventures, and Ajax Strategies, bringing Voltus's total equity financing to date to over US$65 million.
Latham & Watkins LLP represented Voltus in the financing with an emerging companies team led by Boston partners John Chory and Spencer Ricks, with Boston associate Peter Prial and Bay Area associate Simon Moshkovich.
The firm also represented Voltus in its Series B Financing in October 2020.
