Latham Advises Italian Football Club Como on Development of Innovative NFT

Proceeds will be donated to a charity supporting victims of war and poverty.

April 11, 2022

Latham & Watkins has advised Italian football club Como 1907 (Como) on the development of its first non-fungible token (NFT), launched at an auction with all proceeds donated to EMERGENCY, a charity offering free care to the victims of war and poverty.

The NFT was developed by Como in partnership with a leading fintech company using blockchain-based technologies. The NFT entitles the auction winner to two lifetime tickets in the grandstand, as well as an exclusive Como travel experience. The auction runs until the end of April 2022.

The cross-border Latham team was led by Milan corporate partner Giancarlo D’Ambrosio and London fintech partners Stuart Davis and Christian McDermott, with Milan associate Marco Martino and London associate Avinash Balendran.
