Victor Levy advises clients on EU and French competition law, with a particular focus on merger control for complex, cross-border transactions.

Victor draws on an analytical background in mathematics and law to guide corporates, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions on high-stakes competition matters involving:

  • Merger control filings before the European Commission, the French Competition Authority, and coordination of filings to other competition authorities worldwide
  • Antitrust investigations, including cartel conduct and abuse of dominance proceedings
  • Follow-on damages litigation and settlements
  • Foreign direct investment (FDI) filings in France and coordination of filings across Europe

Victor also regularly advises on structuring their commercial and distribution agreements, including vertical restraints. His practice spans various sectors, including aerospace and defense, entertainment and media, and industrial sectors.

He maintains an active pro bono practice, having recently advised Fashion for Good on antitrust matters.

Before joining Latham, Victor was a partner in the competition law practice of another global law firm.
