Verena Birke, a finance associate in Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt office, advises German and international clients on a range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions.

She represents financial institutions, direct lending funds, private equity funds, and corporate borrowers in:

  • Cross-border and domestic acquisition financings
  • General corporate financings
  • Financial restructurings

Prior to joining Latham as an associate, Verena studied law in Frankfurt and Linköping, and completed her legal training in the Finance Department of the Frankfurt and Singapore offices of Latham & Watkins.

  • Igneo Infrastructure Partners on its €220 million term loan and revolving credit facilities in connection with the acquisition of certain German and French entities in the waste management sector
