Thies Paasch is an associate in Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt office and a member of the Restructuring Practice.
Thies advises German and international creditors, investors, companies, management, shareholders, and insolvency administrators in connection with:
- Financial restructurings (both in-court and out-of-court)
- Domestic and cross-border financing matters
- Operational corporate restructurings
- Acquisition of distressed companies, as well as restructuring, rescue, or refinancing transactions
Thies studied law at the University of Hamburg, focusing on commercial and corporate law. He also gained practical experience as a research assistant in the antitrust and corporate M&A departments of international law firms.
Prior to joining Latham & Watkins as an associate, Thies completed his legal clerkship with seats at an international law firm in Hamburg and London, where he focused on restructuring matters.
