Tal Simon is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins. Tal Simon represents public and private companies and private equity funds on transactional employee benefits matters in stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, add-on and carve-out transactions, bankruptcy-related transactions, joint venture formation and termination, and spinoffs and large equity investments.

She also advises clients on day-to-day benefit plan compliance and operation including qualified plan operational issues, reporting and disclosure issues, fiduciary issues, required plan testing, correction of plan defects, and other matters requiring legal compliance with the tax law and ERISA.

Tal also dedicates a substantial portion of her practice to welfare plans, cafeteria plans, health plans, dependent care plans, and retiree health programs. This involves coordination with the Affordable Care Act and ERISA.
