Sara Shahmiri

Sara Shahmiri represents clients in sophisticated US and cross-border leveraged finance transactions across syndicated and direct lending markets.

Sara brings more than a decade of experience advising private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, corporate borrowers, and financial institutions on transactions including:

• Credit facilities
• Leveraged financings
• Acquisition financings
• Fund financings

Sara has extensive experience with domestic and cross-border financing arrangements. She takes a commercial approach to structuring and negotiating transactions, working closely with clients to understand their business objectives and financing priorities.

Sara focuses on securing favorable terms and preserving financing flexibility, combining responsive advice with efficient execution.

A recognized leader at the firm, Sara serves on the New York Recruiting Committee and previously served as a local leader of the New York Women Lawyers Group.

Before joining Latham, she practiced in the finance group of another international law firm.
