Sara Shahmiri is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Finance Department.

Ms. Shahmiri represents various private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, corporate borrowers, and financial institutions in a broad range of domestic and cross-border lending transactions, including credit facilities, leveraged financings, acquisition financings, and fund financings.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Shahmiri worked as an associate in the finance group of another preeminent international law firm.

While at the University of Virginia School of Law, Ms. Shahmiri served as editor-in-chief of the Virginia Journal of Law and Technology as well as a member of the editorial board of the Virginia Tax Review.
