Roberto Muñoz is an associate in the Madrid office of Latham & Watkins. He advises national and international clients on complex litigation and arbitration proceedings concerning domestic and cross-border disputes. 

Mr. Muñoz represents clients before Spanish courts (including high courts, appeal courts, the Supreme Court, and the Constitutional Court) and also acts as counsel in arbitrations conducted under the main institutional arbitration rules (ICC, CIMA, CAM, TAM, SCC, NAI, etc.).

  • A Spanish listed IT company on judicial proceedings brought by a civil engineering group related to the client’s ownership of two Peruvian companies
  • A leading US fund on numerous litigation proceedings against the main debtors of its non-performing loans (NPL) portfolio
  • A global investment fund in connection to its acquisition of a €4.2 billion REO portfolio from a leading Spanish bank
  • A leading investment fund in all judicial proceedings related to its NPL portfolios, including foreclosure and mandatory insolvency proceedings
  • A pharmaceutical conglomerate in arbitration proceedings against a US corporation regarding the potential breach of a multi-million-dollar licensing agreement
  • A pharmaceutical conglomerate in several international arbitration and domestic litigation against one of its competitors regarding the violation of various agreements
